Caragar the Cimmerian
Caragar was born in the sharp winds and moody hills of northern Cimmeria, just south of the Eglophian mountains. A then-young Agar, a clan Huntsman and warrior, and Niamh, a leatherworker, where the proud parents. Growing up in the biting chill and mist-cladden hills of Cimmeria produces hardy folk, and Caragar was to be no exception. Agar, his father, brought him on hunts at an early age, teaching him what the Cimmerians call 'woodcraft'. This entails the tracking of game, what signs to look for in the passage of said game, and the art of the Cimmerian spear-toss, as well as how to survive off of the land with naught but a loincloth. Like all young men of his tribe, he also worked out with the broadsword and became quite proficient in it's use. Eventually, Caragar grew to be very tall and powerfully muscled, with chest length dark brown hair (nearly black as it is so dark) and tawny grey eyes. Like most of his folk, he has a dark complected skin-tone.
Being so close to the southern edge of Asgard has it's downfalls, however. Caragar's clan seems to fortnightly come under raid from Vanir invaders from beyond the Eglophians. During the latest of such raids, Caragar was himself finally of age to help in his clan's defense, and he did so with a passion and vigor befitting any adult Cimmerian. He was able to spoil a shirt of mail and steel helm from a fallen foe, and due to his prowess in battle the chief of his clan even allowed him to keep it. Fair loot, indeed, for one so young! Clad so, Caragar bid his parents farewell not soon after, falling prey to an uncommon (in his folk) desire to see the rest of the Thurian world about him and to seek out fame and adventure as it may befall him. Strapping his broadsword on, clad in the Vanir steel valiantly won, he set out to see what travails and rewards he could claim from man and beast.

Please note, the survival talent assumes my house-rule elsewhere on this forum as he has taken 'Hills', not normally a choice available.
Also, another question to go with the others above in his stat area: Animal Senses Talent lists a 'bonus advantage level in combat'.
O.O What does that mean? Is that the thing where you check for surprise, as in he would get another free attack if he were to surprise someone? And would he suffer one less free attack from an enemy where he to be surprised?
Also, on the language thing: 21 points is shown as literacy. Does this mean that each character starts with their own language at 21 points? I don't mean to power-game or over-think, but I am curious about this. Thoughts?
I'll soon post some of his exploits, but will need to prep and get a game run with the GME.
