So over on RPGNet I posted the link to my cosmology/gazeteer (whcih is more than enough to get started with the rules as they stand). I'd like some thoughts and opinions, if anyone's willing.
Also, I'm thinking of taking a page from the Mongoose Conan RPG for my races: based upon culture, each race would gain a single rank in one or two Talents. What do you think?

I've started to read through the cosmology and it seems pretty good so far. I haven't gotten far enough to see how things really shake out but it has really held my interest. I'll finish it when I get done at work tonight. I have to admit I'm not fond of the name Lightwolf, but I'm sure I'll get over that.

Well, the main ZeFRS system already does that somewhat with the father's profession rule. Then again, one level in one talent isn't exactly going to break the bank and it does fit the attitude of Howard's works very well.
I'd say go for it. Then everyone's life story can include "Like all Ibraxians he learned to fight with the velvet glove at an early age"

"Lightwolf" is a holdover from a game I ran YEARS ago, and is basically still there as a nod to that group, probably the most fun group I've ever run in a game. I was amazed at how much just changing nonhuman races to human cultures changed the feel...really, I didn't change anything about the setting except, for example, turning dwarves into a kingdom of semi-subterranean human miners and craftsmen, and it made a huge difference in the way it feels.
I left goblins, ogres, and trolls in there as well as my canine and feline races, because I figured done right they can still be appropriately S&S...and they're not going to be available to play.

I figured it was something like that. Always good to give the old groups their due.

I posted comments on the rpg.net thread. Now that I see this here, maybe I stick here.
