Hello everybody, Thanks for the love and devotion put in this project! There is something I'd like to bring to your attention however, reading through the rules I've noticed this:
Such spells also drain your character of power. Each time the character attempts a spell, he suffers injury according to the damage system you are using. He either:
* loses one point from his Damage rating, or * acquires one green injury.
In either case the harm is permanent and cannot be healed.
In no point of the rules did I find any definition of what a "green injury" might be...
Best regards Artikid

Here is a short addition to the Magic Rules chapter: ============================================== Optional Rules:
Magicians as starting characters
With the GM's approval a player may create a character with a Magical Talent at game start. Acquiring a Magical Talent requires the character to chose a Magical Weakness and 1 point of Obsession, Magical Talents at game start cost twice as much as other Talents. A character starts the game without knowledge of any spell. Acquiring spells at game start requires the player to gain 1 Obsession point per spell and an expenditure of 1 Talent point for Simple spells, 2 TP for Moderate spells and 4 TP for Difficult spells.
Untrained spell casting With the GM's approval a player character with no Magical Talent may try to cast a spell if taught. The spell will only be successful on any result of at least one color range higher than the required one. A Green result will always be considered a simple failure, while a White one will have the same effects as if the character had the Accident Prone Weakness. Such magical fumbles should be adjudicated by the GM, but failure at using magic when untrained should be spectacular, dangerous and potentially fatal. For example an untrained character trying to use clairvoyance powers could be inflicted the Madness Weakness while a failure at a summoning spell should confront the incompetent magician with a demon bent on killing him.

In no point of the rules did I find any definition of what a "green injury" might be... Best regards Artikid That's my fault. I started this when I was planning to include a home-made damage system based on the True20 damage save. Since then we've as a community decided to stick to the rules as they appeared in print & offer houserules & whatnot separately. I'm in the process of obfuscating the Talent rules as we speak & the bits about "green injury" will be removed. Glad to hear you're enjoying it so far.

Optional Rules: Magicians as starting characters... Y'know, I don't think there's anything in the rules as written that would prevent that right now. It's just that the process of a character in play adding a magical Talent is tortuous compared to learning, say, chariot-driving.
