Is it just me or are some of the names used in the arms and armor section a little obscure? It's not a big deal, I suppose, but having to look up what a cinequesda is takes time, when just calling it a short sword seems to make more sense. Maybe it works for atmosphere? What are your thoughts? TGA

There's a short list of the more obscure armor & weapon terms in the original quick reference guide. Guess that ought to be online too, so people don't waste time scratching their heads over what a katar is.

Another observation about armor. It looks like the armor on the table of starting equipment (chainmail shirt, quilted leather armor, and steel helmet) don't match any of armor on the main equipment list. A minor point, but a bit confusing when outfitting your new character!

d**n, that is peculiar, isn't it? I never even noticed. I suppose you could call the "quilted leather" a jack & the "helmet" a basinet. The chain shirt could have the same protection as a mail suit but only cover C & G.

Yeah, I think that just replacing it with jack and basinet for the first two instances would work perfectly. As for the chain shirt you could go two ways. You could add it to the equipment list (covers C,G and gives protection 2 for a move penalty of 1), which functionally makes it identical to ring or scale shirt. Or you can just replace the item on the character outfitting list with a chain hauberk, which also covers RL, LL but has a move penalty of 2.
I might also suggest that the bronze cuirass be changed to breastplate to conform to the item name used in the main equipment list. I would also be tempted to change it to a steel breastplate, as there is no real reason to favor it if it is bronze (protection 2, penalty 2 and only covers area C) over a chain shirt (protection 2, penalty 1 and covers area C,G).
