Any specific format you want us to follow, with formatting codes, etc? Or should we go a head and format the submissions ourselves? A lot of publishers use a variation on HTML for formatting codes, with B for bold, I for italic, etc., in triangular brackets bookending the text to be formatted, and square brackets with indicators for boxed text, etc, as follows: [BOXED TEXT] boxed text here [END BOXED TEXT] Just a suggestion A more complete version would be as follows: In triangular brackets (<>), bookending text to be formatted. Do not use slashes to indicate closing text, as with HTML...just use another copy of the same format code. B=bold I=italics U=Underline 1 = Biggest header (as chapters or major sections) 2 = Section heads within chapters or major sections 3 = Subsections. Square brackets [BOXED TEXT] [END BOXED TEXT] [FICTION] [END FICTION] [STAT BLOCK] [END STAT BLOCK] Also, any art, editorial, or other notes would be in square brackets.

That's an excellent suggestion.
I can also accept RTF or Open Office formated documents.

I presumed RTF.
I just figured instead of including bold, italics, etc. in the body of the submissions, using codes like that would enable you to have a uniform set of documents to begin with, making it easier for you to format and layout consistently.

That is a very good idea.
Of course, I could require TeX or groff...
Actually, I'd say yes...I'll write up your [] rules and make them a sticky tonight...then I can macro them to groff and use it to feed a pdf creator...
