I was just reading through the new Hazards section on the ZeFRS site and I noticed a couple of minor technicalities in the poisons section. Neither is particularly important from a game play point of view but I thought that I'd flag them up for discussion.
I see that rattlesnakes and vipers have seperate listing for venom toxicity. Fair enough, except that rattlesnakes are vipers. It's possible that this is because in the past the rattlesnake family was considered a seperate group and the orginal source material came from that assumption.
The other point is that curare works by paralysing the victim and causing death by asphyxiation. Shouldn't its effects be covered by the rules on holding your breath? Mind you since the effects of curare last about 30 minutes you'd have to have a good pair of lungs.
Good points. There'll be a place for houserules at some point. If you've got a poison system that has a little more verisimiltude, by all means write it up!
