I've got an interesting setting idea for a sword-and-sorcery/planetary romance game and I was looking for a system.
I've run this game using d20 before, but I wanted a setting that a) my players would like and b) captures an old-school feeling that I'm hoping to capture with the setting.
My friend Jonathan (Samaritan on RPG.Net) pointed me towards ZeFRS, and after looking around for a bunch of systems, then reading ZeFRS and the companion, I think I've found what I've been looking for.
Therefore I'd like to start a new project. I'd like to marry the ZeFRS system to this setting and make it available to everyone as a free web page and PDF.
May I use the system, and reproduce and edit portions of the text, for this purpose?

Hey, you don't need to ask us for anything. All we ask is that if you edit the original document, you make it clear that the end result is no longer the original, & identify what the original was & where anyone who's interested can get it. Like it says on the frontispiece of the PDF:
This work may be freely distributed as long as it remains complete and intact, including this credits page. The text of this work is designated as “copyleft,” meaning it can be freely used, modified, and reproduced at no cost, though we would ask that if used, proper and due credit be given to the original writer and to those of us involved in the ZeFRS project: Dave “Zeb” Cook Mark Krawec Jason Vey Drake2000 E.T. Smith The Evil DM Max Münch Artikid Marius hive_mind Harmast Insect King blu_sponge DMAndrew MountZionRyan Äkräs hatheg-kla Vagabond Christopher V. Brady Spinachcat And all the other posters on RPG.net and the ZeFRS forum who have dedicated time, effort, and passion to this final end.
So knock yourself out. Oh, & let us know when we can get a look at the final product!
