I'm just wondering if anyone behind the ZeFRS system has considerred the possibility of putting up a print-on-demand version of ZeFRS on Lulu or RPGnow?
Just asking.

Well, see, here's the thing: we don't actually own it. Darned if I know who does. It hasn't even been altered as much as "retro-clones" like Labyrinth Lord or OSRIC. We just dug up the system, slipped it out of its Conan clothes & slapped the defibrillator to it until it stood up again. We have Dave Cook's blessing, but what that counts for in the world of IP law who can say? So I can't imagine a circumstance under which it would be legal for us to sell print copies of it for money (unless maybe we gave it all to Cook, which would be cool).
If you would like a print version, though, I called up a nearby Staples & they quoted me about $10 for a printout with sturdy plastic covers & one of those plastic spirals for binding.

Thank you for that information. I'll admit, I asked mostly because I know i'd like to be able to have a print copy and it occurred to me that others might like one too.
Unfortunately, my only means of payment is cash only, and I don't know how to get a print from Staples. Still, I can find out on my own and $10 is a darned good steal on a dead-tree edition RPG. I'll see what I can do in this department.
And I can certainly understand the copyright concern. Admittedly, having never had the original Conan RPG, I didn't know this was unalterred beyond getting the Conan license out of there. Though again, I'm glad to know now that it isn't changed. It means I can go to a game reseller to buy what apparently is a supplement for the old Conan game (if indeed that's what it is.)
Thank you.

At least at the one here (Augusta, ME) all you need to do is bring your document in on any media you like (CD, thumb, whatever) & they can print from that. If there's a Staples or analogous office supply store in your neighborhood it ought to be possible to do the same thing.

Okay. Thanks for the tip. (On an unrelated note, might a quick-reference GM screen be on the list of desired items? I just finished a draft.)

Heck yeah! Send it to the "contact me" e-mail address on the ZeFRS homepage when you're done & I'll post it. (I think my e-mail address is in my profile here, too.)
