So-- I'm looking at the armor table and weapon table and wondering how a guy without a high strength bonus can ever hurt someone in plate armor? Lets not even talk about a shield in there. Or going on the Defensive.
You have to have a weapon with a bonus to damage, or a high strength, or no way can it be done. Flail away partner-- you ain't gonna do any damage.
This sort of indicates the armor rules are crap, or I am missing something vital in my current sleep-deprived state.

You're not wrong. If somebody manages to get himself wrapped up in a three-quarter suit, you need a) a Strength bonus, b) a weapon with a damage bonus, or c) to score a red result on him (keep in mind that even if armor reduces the damage done by a hit that deals a specific wound to below 4, the target still has to make a check to avoid suffering the wound).
This is somewhat mitigated by rarity, I think. A three-quarter suit costs 12 gold, which is way out of reach of most people.

I forgot about the specific wounds thing. The armor rules aren't crap unless you brought a dirk and pony to the joust, and then it's your own fault for not having a better plan.
